We succeeded in reducing the resistance of lithium ion capacitor “ULTIMO®”.-Presented at the 2nd International Recahargeable Battery Exhibition-

JM Energy Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of a new product this spring, which reduces the internal resistance of laminated lithium-ion capacitors to one-third of the conventional level (compared to our company).

The new product to be launched this time can reduce the energy loss that occurs during charging and discharging by reducing the resistance to about one-third that of the conventional product. In addition, in response to the demands of customers who introduce capacitors for outdoor use, the performance has been dramatically improved (* 1) compared to conventional products, such as by significantly improving the change in capacitance at low temperatures. I am.

Lithium-ion capacitors have a large capacity to temporarily store electricity generated using natural energy such as solar power generation and wind power generation, and to supplement and discharge when the weather is not stable and the amount of power generation decreases. In recent years, it has been attracting attention along with lithium-ion secondary batteries as a power storage device.

This time, JM Energy has succeeded in reducing the resistance by improving the electrode material etc. to the conventional product by using its own technology. In the future, we will develop new products of laminated lithium-ion capacitors with improvements in a wide range of fields. In addition to the already applied power supply for backup in the event of a power outage, voltage leveling, peak current assist, energy regeneration, etc., we have expanded lithium-ion capacitors to fields where resistance values have been difficult to apply. We will promote the development of a low-carbon society and contribute to the expansion of local employment.

This new product will be introduced at the JM Energy booth at the International Rechargeable Battery Exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 2nd to March 4th.
