The equipment has been field tested at the Yokkaichi Plant of JSR Corporation (President: Mitsunobu Koshiba) since December 2011. Meidensha Co., Ltd. plans to commercialize the product from 2014 if the reliability is confirmed by confirming the compensation operation in the actual operation state and the long-term reliability by continuous operation through the field test for the next two years.

In the production equipment of factories, if a power outage occurs due to the influence of a lightning strike, it may cause malfunction or stoppage and cause great damage. Therefore, it is required to further extend the compensation time of the power outage compensation device. I am.

Compared to the conventional electric double layer capacitor type, the lithium-ion capacitor type short-time power failure compensation device enables large-capacity and long-term compensation, and because it uses a long-life lithium-ion capacitor, it is used in the power storage unit. It does not need to be replaced for 15 years and does not use heavy metals such as lead, so the environmental load is small.
